Summary

Hands-on AI Builder/Architect for Contego's standalone AI Agentics team (SEA/APAC), designing and building agentic systems: LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, and integrating agents with APIs and business systems, while authoring playbooks and SOPs so agents run safely in real business use.

This role will form a pivotal part of our standalone AI Agentics team, which sits independently, while working closely with the AI practice and wider business teams to design and build the agentic systems that power our AI deployments. As the Builder/Architect for our AI Agentics programme, you will combine LLM orchestration, prompt engineering and tool integration to create agents that are correctly scoped, well-governed and fit for real business use, working closely with AI Agentics, Operations and Client Services teams to do so.

This role is mission critical and a cornerstone of ensuring that our agentic systems are designed correctly from the outset. This is a hands-on role, translating business and operational needs into clear technical requirements, scoping agent behaviour, and building the orchestration logic and tool integrations that bring agents to life. You will be responsible for authoring clear documentation, playbooks and standard operating procedures that others can build on, ensuring agents behave safely and reliably when operating against real business systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to join at a pivotal time and be a key part in shaping our AI future.
The successful candidate needs to be able to demonstrate:

  • Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, or building applications and tools on top of large language models.
  • Experience integrating agents with existing tools, APIs and business systems.
  • Ability to translate business or operational needs into clear technical requirements and working agent designs.
  • Strong pattern recognition and system knowledge, with the ability to understand how existing platforms and processes fit together.
  • Experience authoring SOPs, playbooks or technical documentation that others can follow and build on.
  • Cross-functional influence, with a track record of working across Operations, Development and Client Services to scope high-impact use cases.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage both specialist technical and business users.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced change environment.
Curious, data-driven and rigorous, with a natural ability to identify high-impact AI use cases and translate them into working systems, alongside a collaborative approach to working across the AI Agentics, Operations and Client Services teams.
