emagine is hiring an AI Business Analyst in Paris to work for its final client's Data Intelligence Platform team (finance/asset management). The BA gathers business needs via workshops, writes epics/user stories with acceptance criteria, refines the backlog, and supports UAT and value measurement across MVP and later releases.
Summary
emagine is looking for, for its final client, a Business Analyst specialised in AI to join the Data Intelligence Platform team within Transformation and Innovation. The objective is to strengthen business analysis throughout delivery, from understanding business problems to validating platform features and measuring their value. The BA will act as the day-to-day interface between Business Units and the development team. Working with the Product Owner or designated product lead, the BA will structure requirements, continuously enrich and refine the product backlog, and support the delivery of the MVP and subsequent releases.
Responsibilities:
Organise and facilitate interviews and workshops with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, current processes, pain points, and information needs.
Document each use case, its scope, expected benefits, assumptions, constraints, and success measures. Identify common needs across Business Units that can be served by reusable platform features.
Translate business needs into clear, structured, and testable requirements for developers.
Write epics, features, and user stories with acceptance criteria and relevant examples.
Continuously create, enrich, and refine the product backlog.
Identify the documents and data needed for each use case with business and data owners.
Define functional test scenarios and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
Maintain clear communication between Business Units, the Product Owner, and the delivery team.
Collect user feedback and monitor agreed measures.
Must Haves:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering digital, data or AI solutions.
Experience in finance and asset management.
Sound knowledge of agile principles and practical experience in Scrum.
Strong analytical skills, clear written documentation, and ability to facilitate workshops.
Full Professional working proficiency in French and English.
