  • Develop and optimize computer vision and image-processing solutions for image correction, document recognition, OCR, OMR, barcode recognition, mark detection, structured data extraction, and multispectral imaging technologies.
  • Enhance image and video quality through advanced mathematical, statistical, and computational techniques.
  • Build, train, test, and compare machine learning and deep learning models to improve image recognition, classification, accuracy, and processing performance.
  • Build, curate, and manage image datasets and evaluation pipelines used for training, validation, testing, and performance evaluation of AI models.
  • Train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenCV.
  • Analyze and optimize solution performance, balancing accuracy, reliability, latency, compute, memory, and resource utilization.
  • Explore on-device and cloud-based processing approaches across software and hardware environments.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, product, and data science teams to turn prototypes into integrated and reusable product capabilities.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate experimentation, coding, testing, and documentation.
  • Document findings and communicate technical results, trade-offs, and recommendations.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies in computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to support next-generation products and technology platforms.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience developing software solutions using C/C++, including experience in computer vision, image processing, machine learning, or related AI technologies.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing computer vision and image-processing algorithms.
  • Strong understanding of image analysis, pattern recognition, machine learning, and deep learning concepts.
  • Experience with OpenCV and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and/or PyTorch.
  • Experience developing applications in Linux environments, including system-level programming.
  • Strong understanding of data preparation, model training, validation, and performance evaluation.
  • Experience analyzing and optimizing solutions for accuracy, reliability, latency, and resource utilization.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Ability to work hybrid at our West Greenwich, Rhode Island development center.

Helpful, but Not Required

  • Familiarity with embedded systems development, Android development, or device integration.
  • Experience with OCR, OMR, document processing, structured data extraction, barcode recognition, or multispectral imaging.
  • Exposure to cloud-based development platforms or AI services such as AWS or Azure.
  • Exposure to multimodal models.
  • Experience optimizing models for limited compute, memory, or latency.
