AI Content Writer and Storyteller

Open 46d

About II

Intelligent Internet is building sovereign AI from first principles. Open-source, for everyone.

Our mission is to increase humanity's intelligence. Our research, our agent, and our book The Last Economy are all part of that work. All of it open. All of it for everyone.

AI for the people, by the people.

We want builders who feel it too. People who ship, who work hard, who care about getting this right.

Bring your curiosity, your craft, and your conviction.

Headquartered in London.

The Role

We are hiring an AI Content Writer and Storyteller (Generative AI + Crypto + Media) to help deliver AI for all by making our work clear, compelling, and worth sharing. You will own our voice across communications, write standout long-form and short-form content, and support our public narrative with journalists and third parties. This is a hands-on writing role with real ownership, high standards, and visible impact.

AI is changing how the world works, but the writing around it is often shallow or wrong. We need someone who can publish content that earns trust: accurate, well-framed, and genuinely engaging. You will set and protect II’s voice, produce standout content across formats, and support press conversations with tight narratives and rigorous facts. This role is about credibility as much as creativity.

The Responsibilities

  • Own II’s voice across comms - Shape and maintain tone of voice across website, blog, email, social, decks, docs, and press materials.

  • Write high-signal content - Essays, explainers, product narratives, release posts, scripts, and FAQs that make complex ideas readable and accurate.

  • Ship great short-form - Witty, sharp posts and threads that cut through noise without hype or gimmicks.

  • Make launches land - Create launch packs (announcement, release notes, FAQ, talking points, social copy, follow-ups) with a consistent narrative across channels.

  • Support media and third parties - Prepare the team for interviews with briefing notes, talk tracks, and Q&A docs; engage with journalists as needed for background, follow-ups, and fact-checking support.

  • Raise the bar through editing - Edit and rewrite across the company to improve clarity, structure, and tone.

  • Run a simple editorial cadence - Maintain an editorial calendar, establish repeatable formats, and iterate based on signal and feedback.

The Requirements:

Must Have

Technical and domain

  • Strong Generative AI fluency and comfort writing about models, capabilities, limitations, evaluation, and real-world implications with accuracy.

  • Practical understanding of how crypto works, including on-chain primitives and incentives, and the ability to explain them clearly to different audiences.

Skills

  • Excellent writing craft across long-form and short-form, with a portfolio that proves you can produce interesting, high-signal work.

  • Strong copywriting ability, including witty, concise social posts.

  • High-quality editing skills and the ability to improve other people’s writing quickly without losing meaning.

  • Ability to translate complex work into clear narratives without dumbing it down or hiding behind jargon.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including working closely with technical teams to get details right.

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience shipping content regularly (blog, newsletter, editorial, social, launches, technical explainers).

  • Comfortable with media-facing work, such as interview prep, Q&A docs, or working alongside PR and journalists.

Nice to Have

  • Experience writing for Open Source AI communities, research groups, developer tools, or protocols.

  • Experience supporting earned media or shaping founder narrative.

  • Comfort writing for policymakers or non-technical audiences without dumbing down.

The Right Person

You’re someone who wants to make an impact and cares about AI for all. You have taste, judgment, and a strong internal bar for what is worth publishing.

  • Narrative judgment: you know what matters, what doesn’t, and how to frame it.

  • Clarity and rigor: you can be engaging without being sloppy.

  • Voice: you can write with personality while staying precise and credible.

  • Editorial leadership: you can improve the quality of comms across a team, not just your own drafts.

  • Media readiness: you can help prepare for public scrutiny and communicate calmly under pressure.

  • High ownership and high standards.

  • Fast, iterative, and comfortable shipping work that improves over time.

  • Low ego, direct communicator, good collaborator.

  • Curious, deeply online in the right way, and genuinely excited by Generative AI and crypto mechanics.

  • Allergic to hype, vague claims, and empty thought leadership.

Our Culture

It's open. It's distributed. It's for everyone. Introducing the Intelligent Internet. A new paradigm for AI that democratizes access, fosters collaboration, and aligns technology with human values.

Here, everyone has ownership. You'll have space to stretch your skills, try bold ideas, and contribute to the mission from day one.

It starts with you.
