AI Datacenter Infrastructure Engineer
Summary
Cerebras is hiring an AI Datacenter Infrastructure Engineer to translate cluster architectures into deployment-ready data center designs — rack elevations, equipment layouts, BOMs, power allocations, and port/cable maps — while adapting designs to site constraints and automating design workflows with scripting languages like Python or Bash.
You will translate cluster architectures into deployment-ready data center designs. You will create rack layouts, equipment placement plans, bills of materials, power allocations, and port and cable maps. You will adapt designs to site constraints, validate integrated systems, resolve deployment issues, and automate repeatable design workflows.
Responsibilities
- Translate cluster architectures into deployment-ready infrastructure designs
- Produce rack elevations, equipment layouts, bills of materials, power allocations, port maps, and cable maps
- Adapt reference designs to site-specific space, power, cooling, connectivity, logistics, and hardware constraints
- Validate integrated compute, storage, networking, power, and cabling designs
- Evaluate design trade-offs and recommend practical solutions
- Participate in design and deployment-readiness reviews
- Resolve physical integration issues and document approved design changes
- Contribute to root-cause analysis for deployment and integration problems
- Develop scripts and tools for design generation, BOM creation, cable mapping, and validation
- Improve templates, standards, documentation, and design processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- One or more years of relevant infrastructure engineering, data center design, systems integration, or hardware deployment experience
- Experience with rack elevations, equipment layouts, bills of materials, port maps, or cable maps
- Understanding of server, storage, and networking hardware integration
- Familiarity with data center power, cooling, space, cabling, and serviceability constraints
- Experience using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or another language to automate workflows
- Analytical skills, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills
