AI Delivery Lead / Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced AI Delivery Lead / Project Manager who thrives in high-velocity environments where ideas quickly evolve into prototypes and prototypes evolve into products.

This role is responsible for driving delivery excellence across multiple AI initiatives, ensuring timelines remain realistic, scope stays controlled, and stakeholders have clear visibility into execution progress.

You will work closely with executives, product leaders, engineers, designers, and AI specialists to transform ambitious ideas into deliverable outcomes while balancing speed, quality, and business priorities.

This is a leadership role for someone who combines strong project management discipline with the adaptability required in modern AI-first product development environments.

Role Overview

As an AI Product Delivery Lead / Project Manager, you will own planning, execution, stakeholder communication, risk management, and delivery governance across multiple AI product initiatives.

You will serve as the bridge between executive leadership and delivery teams—translating strategic objectives into actionable plans while ensuring commitments remain realistic and achievable.

You must be comfortable operating in environments where priorities evolve rapidly, experimentation is encouraged, and teams move from ideation to working prototypes at exceptional speed.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Planning & Execution

• Own end-to-end delivery management across multiple AI product initiatives.
  
• Develop project plans, delivery roadmaps, milestones, and execution timelines.
  
• Define project scope, dependencies, risks, assumptions, and success criteria.
  
• Track progress against plans and proactively identify delivery risks.
  
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
  
• Establish and maintain project governance frameworks and reporting mechanisms.
  
• Drive accountability across cross-functional teams.
  

Scope Management & Prioritization

• Act as the primary owner of scope management.
  
• Prevent scope creep while balancing evolving business requirements.
  
• Evaluate trade-offs between speed, quality, resources, and timelines.
  
• Work with leadership to prioritize initiatives based on strategic value and delivery capacity.
  
• Create clear execution plans for rapidly evolving AI initiatives.
  

Executive Stakeholder Management

• Participate in executive and leadership meetings.
  
• Present project status, delivery forecasts, risks, and mitigation plans.
  
• Defend project timelines using data-driven reasoning and delivery insights.
  
• Manage stakeholder expectations through transparent communication.
  
• Escalate critical blockers and risks proactively.
  

Agile Delivery Leadership

• Lead Agile delivery processes across multiple teams.
  
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
  
• Improve team predictability, velocity, and delivery effectiveness.
  
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project execution processes.
  
• Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor delivery performance.
  

AI Product Delivery

• Collaborate closely with AI engineers, software engineers, product managers, designers, and researchers.
  
• Understand the unique delivery challenges associated with AI products, including experimentation, model iteration, evaluation cycles, and evolving requirements.
  
• Support rapid prototyping initiatives while maintaining delivery discipline.
  
• Help teams balance innovation velocity with execution predictability.
  

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Coordinate efforts across engineering, product, design, QA, and business stakeholders.
  
• Align multiple teams around shared objectives and delivery commitments.
  
• Resolve cross-team dependencies and execution bottlenecks.
  
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and operational excellence.
  

Delivery Reporting & Metrics

• Maintain project dashboards, delivery forecasts, and status reporting.
  
• Monitor resource allocation and delivery capacity.
  
• Track key delivery metrics, including schedule adherence, risk exposure, throughput, and predictability.
  
• Provide leadership with actionable insights to support decision-making.

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  
• 10+ years of project management, delivery management, or program management experience in software development environments.
  
• Proven experience managing multiple concurrent software projects.
  
• Strong experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
  
• Demonstrated ability to manage scope, timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
  
• Experience working directly with executive leadership and senior stakeholders.
  
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and product delivery processes.
  
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Experience leading cross-functional technical teams.
  

Preferred

• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
  
• PMP certification.
  
• Experience delivering AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Data products.

• Familiarity with Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI development tools.
