The AI Developer - Legal AI Agents will play a crucial role in designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting in-house AI agents for a UK-based legal firm. This full-time, office-based position in Hyderabad, India, requires a strong focus on creating secure, reliable, and auditable AI solutions that enhance legal operations, document workflows, knowledge retrieval, client service processes, and internal productivity while adhering to confidentiality and data protection standards relevant to legal practice.
Key Responsibilities include the development of task-focused AI agents utilizing modern large language model frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation, workflow orchestration, and API integrations. The role will also involve automating legal workflows by building solutions for document review, summarization, drafting assistance, matter triage, knowledge search, compliance checks, and internal process automation. Additionally, the AI Developer will create secure retrieval pipelines over internal legal knowledge bases and integrate AI services with various systems such as document management and case management systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong software development experience in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript, along with hands-on experience building applications with LLM APIs like OpenAI or Azure OpenAI. Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks, REST APIs, and cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, is essential. A good understanding of secure software engineering practices, role-based access control, and audit logging is also required. The candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
This position offers a competitive salary range of 5.0 Lakh to 30.0 Lakh INR, commensurate with experience, and is a permanent, full-time role with immediate start availability.
