At Factbird, we help manufacturers see what’s really happening on their lines—so they can make better, faster decisions. Our plug-and-play hardware and cloud platform turn live production data into clear insights, and we’re scaling fast across sites, teams, and countries.
We want to use AI wherever it can create meaningful value for Factbird: improving productivity, quality and the way people work.

We want to use AI wherever it can create meaningful value for Factbird: improving productivity, quality and the way people work.
Some of our teams use AI every day. Others have barely started. What we're missing is someone who finds where AI should go, builds it, and makes sure it sticks, then helps
everyone else get more out of what they already use, at the right cost. A patch here and a small workflow there won't cut it. You'll get into every department, find what should be built, and build it, while communicating priorities and tradeoffs to the team.
About the role
This is a mid-career, professional-level position on Factbird’s career ladder and a hybrid role in terms of skills: technical enough to question how the tools work, hold your own with our engineers and build agents and automated flows yourself; organised enough to run a company-wide roadmap; and good with people, so what you build actually gets used.
It’s also a brand-new role, so there’s both the opportunity and the need for you to help define it. You’ll thrive here if you like owning a broad, loosely defined area and figuring out for yourself what matters most.
Your first 90 days
- Own the setup and the bill. You take over the administration, licensing and cost management of our AI tools: connectors, MCP servers, permissions, workspace setup and caching that keeps cost and performance in check. From week one, you start building a clear picture of what we spend and where.
- Learn the company. You meet every department, learn their processes, and piece together how Factbird works as a whole
- Build the roadmap. You identify what AI should streamline, what’s competing for attention and what comes first based on where we can create the most value. You tell us what to tackle and what to drop.
- Run the first initiative. Take the top item off your roadmap and deliver it, start to finish
Beyond 90 days
- Pick the stack. You lead decisions on which AI platforms we keep, add or stop using, based on what works best for the company and its departments.
- Stay ahead. You keep up with what’s happening in AI and bring relevant ideas back to Factbird early.
- Deliver the roadmap, in two modes:
- Builder: where nobody has the time or know-how to start, you design and build the agents and automated flows yourself, hand them over, and drive the adoption so they actually get used
- Consultant: many people across Factbird already work with AI. You show them how to use it better and turn the best of their work into shared skills, prompts and agents that everyone can use.
- Keep it safe. You build appropriate quality checks into AI processes and own our AI usage guidelines and security practices together with Security & Compliance.
- Prove it. You measure the impact AI is having, good and bad, and can show cost against benefit
You've spent the last few years in the details of AI. You don't have to be a developer, but your understanding is advanced:
- Not just "How is AI priced?" but “How can we reduce our API costs without compromising output quality?”
- Not just “What is an agent?” but “When should we build one, how should we build it, and when would a multi-agent setup make sense?”
- Not just “What is an LLM?” but “Which model fits this task, and when shouldn’t we use AI at all?”
- Not just “Is it safe?” but “What controls, permissions and human oversight does this agent need?”
- You've done it for real. You’ve taken a real business process and improved or automated it using AI.
- You know how to run a project. You don’t need to have held a project lead title. Consulting, operations, product or engineering experience all count, as long as they have made you great at planning and delivering.
- You prioritise clearly. You focus on where AI can create the most value, and you’re comfortable explaining why some ideas should not be pursued.
- You watch the money. Tokens, licenses, usage. You notice when spend is getting out of hand before anyone asks
- You make it simple. You can explain AI to anyone, train teams, and make complex tools feel approachable
- You don't wait for a roadmap. This role exists because someone needs to push us forward
Requirements
- 2+ years hands-on with AI in a business setting. Strong AI skills matter more than years of project leadership experience
- Experience with agents, automated flows, and AI tooling across more than one platform
- Experience planning and running projects, either as a project lead or in an adjacent role.
- A plus: experience measuring the cost, savings, or quality of AI work
- A technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience
- Clear communication in English with people of all levels of technical confidence.
- Based in or near Copenhagen, and able to work from our office
