AiEnerge is a fast-growing clean energy startup developing AI-powered Energy Management Systems for small-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems. We help businesses optimize renewable energy use, reduce costs, and unlock revenue through smart battery and market program participation.

Job Summary

You will support AI model training, data analytics, simulation development, hardware testing, and software validation for AI EMS applications. You will also assist senior engineers with on-site BESS installation and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Support AI model training and perform data analytics on collected datasets to improve AI EMS system performance
• Develop simulation processes and datasets to rigorously test the AI EMS system functionality
• Develop and execute test software to validate AI EMS applications’ integrity and reliability when interfacing with other systems
• Support hardware product testing to ensure quality before customer delivery
• Participate in BESS site visits to assist senior engineers with installation and commissioning tasks
• Communicate effectively and collaborate within cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
• Apply basic electronics troubleshooting skills using tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters to support hardware testing
• Utilize knowledge of industrial communication protocols and networking to support system integration and testing
• Demonstrate initiative and creativity in solving technical challenges and learning new skills independently

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in AI model training for industrial applications
• Experience in data analytics and processing of industrial datasets
• Proficient in Python programming; experience with C/C++ is advantageous
• Basic knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, socket programming, and client-server application development
• Basic understanding of industrial communication protocols including Modbus (RTU/TCP) and MQTT
• Comfortable working with Linux operating systems and command-line tools
• Basic electronics and troubleshooting skills with test equipment
• Strong teamwork abilities and good communication skills
• Innovative and self-directed learner with a positive, collaborative attitude
