Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

An early-career engineer who builds and ships well-scoped features within an established codebase. You work with guidance from senior engineers, turn clear requirements into clean and tested code, and steadily grow your grasp of the systems you touch. Success at this level is measured by reliable execution, responsiveness to feedback, and a visible curve of increasing independence.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Implement well-defined features, enhancements, and bug fixes with guidance, producing readable and maintainable code.
• Write and maintain unit tests; verify your own changes before opening a pull request.
• Participate in code reviews — raise pull requests with clear context and act on feedback promptly.
• Apply secure coding practices and follow team standards for version control, branching, and documentation.
• Use dashboards and logs, with support, to investigate defects and understand system behaviour in production.
• Apply generative AI tooling to development tasks using established prompt patterns and approved guardrails.
• Communicate progress, risks, and blockers clearly within the immediate team.
