Job Summary:
We are seeking an AI Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain intelligent automations and AI-driven backend integrations across our AdAstraConnect platform.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on with Python, AI frameworks, and backend systems, contributing to AI agents, proof-of-concept deployments, automated client reporting, and service integrations.
This role sits at the intersection of AI engineering, backend development, and business process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
AI Agent Development:
Contribute to the design, testing, and deployment of AI agents that automate internal and client-facing workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and OpenAI/Anthropic APIs.
Automation Implementation:
Build, test, and maintain automation scripts using Python (requests, asyncio, pandas, pydantic), APIs, and cloud functions to streamline repetitive business processes and data flows.
Backend Support for AI Projects:
Collaborate with the development team on backend logic, API integrations, and data flows that enable AI models and automation services. Exposure to SQLAlchemy, Flask, or Node.js is a plus.
Proof-of-Concept (POC) Development:
Assist in rapid prototyping of AI-driven features, tools, and integrations for translation, reporting, and client operations. Experience with LLM APIs as well as TTS/STT is preferred.
Cloud Operations:
Support deployment and monitoring of AI/automation systems in AWS or similar cloud environments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Dashboard and Report Development:
Develop, maintain, and optimize PBI dashboards and SQL reports that visualize data insights for various stakeholders, ensuring data is presented in an understandable and actionable format.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and techniques. Continuously improve data processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Other Duties:
Undertake other duties as directed by upper leadership, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred but not required.
Experience:
- Proven experience in AI, with at least 2 years in a similar role, preferably within a SaaS environment.
- Experience implementing LLMs, chatbot frameworks, or AI-based automations in production.
- Familiarity with data pipelines, SQL, and API-based integrations.
Skills
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Python (e.g., requests, asyncio, pydantic, langgraph, fastapi).
- Experience with ETL processes (SQL, APIs) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and service integrations.
- Understanding of MLOps pipelines (Docker).
- (Preferred) Experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS, Bedrock, SageMaker, etc.).

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
