A snapshot of your key responsibilities as AI Engineer would be:

· Design, build, test and deploy AI solutions to support business use cases, taking solutions from initial concept through to production and operational support.

· Develop AI use case components, including AI applications, services, automations and supporting technical components.

· Develop and integrate data pipelines and data sources required to support AI solutions, working closely with data engineering and architecture teams.

· Design and implement application integrations, APIs and other integration mechanisms required to embed AI capabilities into business and technology environments.

· Apply prompt engineering and model engineering techniques to develop, test and optimise AI solutions for specific business requirements.

· Evaluate AI models, prompts and solution approaches, using appropriate testing and validation techniques to ensure solutions are reliable, effective and fit for purpose.

· Develop automated workflows and processes that use AI capabilities to improve business processes and operational efficiency.

· Work collaboratively with AI Architects and other technical teams to translate solution designs and architecture patterns into working, production-ready solutions.

· Support the deployment and transition of AI solutions into operational environments, including the creation of deployment artefacts, technical documentation and handover materials.

· Provide operational support and troubleshooting for AI solutions, identifying and resolving technical issues and contributing to continuous improvement.

· Contribute to the development of reusable AI engineering patterns, approaches and assets that can accelerate future AI delivery.

Requirements:

· 5+ years’ experience in a similar role

· Demonstrable experience designing, building, testing and deploying AI solutions in enterprise or complex technology environments.

· Strong hands-on experience developing AI applications and integrating AI capabilities into existing applications and business processes.

· Strong experience with Co Pilot

· Proven experience with data integration and working with structured and/or unstructured data to support AI solutions.

· Demonstrable experience in prompt engineering and/or model engineering, including the evaluation and optimisation of AI solutions.

· Experience working with APIs, application integration and enterprise technology environments.

· Experience taking AI solutions from proof of concept through to production deployment and operational support.

· Strong software engineering and programming skills, with experience developing maintainable and production-quality code.

· Experience with cloud-based AI technologies and modern AI development platforms.

· Understanding of AI/ML lifecycle management, including development, testing, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.

· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
