AI Engineer

About the role

GO-GENIE is seeking an AI Engineer to design, develop and implement AI-driven solutions across in-house logistics and operational platforms. The role focuses on building practical, scalable and reliable AI applications that enhance operational efficiency, automate workflows and support data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will independently manage assigned technical deliverables, from solution development and testing to system integration and continuous improvement, while collaborating with the CTO, COO and relevant stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test and maintain AI-powered applications, services and features for GO-GENIE's internal platforms

• Translate business and operational requirements into practical technical solutions

• Develop backend services, APIs and integrations to support AI functionalities

• Develop AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and agentic workflows

• Build intelligent automation capabilities to streamline operational processes and improve productivity

• Develop and integrate computer vision solutions for image recognition, operational verification and automated validation

• Build AI-assisted analytics and reporting capabilities to support operational insights and decision-making

• Integrate AI solutions into existing systems, databases and operational workflows

• Support testing, deployment, monitoring and ongoing optimisation of AI applications

• Collaborate with the CTO, COO, product team and relevant stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver agreed solutions

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Proficiency in Python, backend development and API integration

• Hands-on experience developing AI applications using LLMs, RAG or related AI frameworks

• Good understanding of databases, software development practices, testing and version control

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and independent problem-solving abilities

• Ability to translate business requirements into functional technical solutions

• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams

• Experience with agentic AI, vector databases, computer vision or AI workflow orchestration (preferred)

• Familiarity with cloud deployment, MLOps and AI performance monitoring (preferred)

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, fulfilment or operational technology environments (preferred)
