AI Engineer
Summary
Researches LLMs and AI vendors, then builds and runs the company's internal enterprise AI platform: deploying on-premise open-source models (Ollama/vLLM), managing external LLM APIs and costs, leading AI security and governance, and prototyping RAG knowledge-base and document-automation tools. Core stack: Python, Docker, Linux, GPUs.
About the role
Research developments in large language models, AI tools and the vendor landscape, and assess their relevance and value to the company. Compare on-premise open-source models with external APIs on performance, cost and data security, and recommend the right option for each use case. Establish the company's AI usage policy and AI data governance framework. Plan, design and build the company's enterprise AI platform, providing secure, governed and unified access to both on-premise and external AI capabilities across the organisation.
