The Job

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, development, and delivery of LLM applications, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows for financial services use cases.
• Own key technical decisions involving model selection, retrieval design, workflow architecture, integration, cost, and latency.
• Build evaluation and regression-testing approaches and use output, trace, and failure analysis to improve solution quality.
• Ensure solutions meet production requirements for reliability, security, observability, data protection, and auditability.
• Translate business, risk, and compliance requirements into practical technical solutions with client and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and establish reusable AI engineering standards, patterns, and development practices.

Your Skills and Experience

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of professional software or AI engineering experience, including recent hands-on experience delivering Generative AI applications to production.
• Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals, including system design, APIs, testing, debugging, and technical documentation.
• Hands-on experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, hybrid retrieval, reranking, and data-grounding techniques.
• Experience designing agentic workflows with tool calling and at least one major AI framework such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or equivalent.
• Experience with AI evaluation, error analysis, regression testing, tracing, and production monitoring.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms, containers, CI/CD, databases, and production observability.
• Understanding of AI security risks, including prompt injection, data leakage, access control, and guardrails.
• Practical knowledge of banking, fintech, payments, lending, risk, compliance, or another financial-services domain.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers, working with client stakeholders, and communicating effectively in English.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge graphs, semantic layers, multi-agent systems, MCP, or multimodal AI.
• Fine-tuning, model optimization, self-hosted LLMs, or large-scale cost and latency optimization.
• AI governance, model risk, explainability, audit trails, KYC, or AML-related experience.
• Kubernetes or experience supporting technical presales and estimation.
