The Job

As an AI Engineer at Forix, you will lead the design and delivery of AI-driven solutions and agentic automation workflows that boost employee productivity and streamline internal operations, from spotting bottlenecks to shipping production-ready internal tools.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

• Workflow Audit & AI Transformation: Analyze processes across departments (Operations, Sales, PM, Engineering, QA) to identify bottlenecks and high-ROI AI opportunities.
• Process Automation & Internal Tools: Build and maintain automated workflows and internal tools connecting email, CRM, Jira, Git, and SaaS platforms, using n8n/Make, Python (FastAPI), and modern UI.
• Rapid Idea-to-Production Delivery: Turn validated ideas into production-ready tools in days, not weeks, by driving AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex) inside well-designed harnesses (context files, skills, MCP, hooks, tests, CI/CD) without compromising quality or security.
• Agentic Systems & RAG: Design multi-agent workflows and RAG pipelines for research, proposal/quote drafting, and data extraction, with schema validation, quality gates, and human-in-the-loop approvals.
• Monitoring & Cost Optimization: Track output quality, latency, and token costs using tracing and evaluation tools (e.g., Langfuse, LangSmith).
• AI Enablement & R&D: Act as the internal AI champion: train teams, share best practices, and evaluate new models, protocols (MCP), and tools to prototype impactful solutions for Forix.

Your Skills and Experience

Must-have

• Experience: 3+ years in Software/Backend Engineering or Applied AI/Automation, with AI or automation systems in production for real users.
• Engineering Foundation: Strong Python (async, FastAPI/Flask, REST APIs) and clean code habits; working knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL, Git, Docker.
• LLM & Agents: Hands-on with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) and agent frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar); solid grasp of prompt engineering, tool use, structured outputs, and RAG/vector databases.
• Automation Platforms: Proficiency with n8n, Make, or similar, including code nodes, webhooks, and API integrations.
• AI-Native Development: Daily use of AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, or similar) to ship features end-to-end; able to build the harness around them and to critically review, test, and own AI-generated code in production.
• Problem Solving & Ownership: Turns ambiguous manual workflows into structured automation; strong ownership and ability to guide others through change.
• Communication: good professional English.

Nice-to-have

• Building simple frontends or dashboards (React, TypeScript, or Streamlit).
• Familiarity with eCommerce, SDLC/Jira automation, or CRM platforms.
