Responsibilities
- Implementing solutions according to best Design Patterns
- Analyze requirements to fully understand solutions and recommend improvements
- Leading UI changes and improvements to increase overall UX and application stability
- Active involvement in DevOps automation and improvement of CI/CD lifecycles on GCP
- Management of Changes through the Service Management lifecycle
- Participating in software architecture design
- Develop and work on application prototypes to validate concepts and designs
- Provide exceptional customer support by addressing and resolving issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in production application development with a strong ability to troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent issues in a high-pressure environment
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, Kotlin, Go, C#) and Web API development, with a solid understanding of building and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient backend services
- Experience with React, with a focus on building dynamic, interactive, and high-performance web applications
- Expertise in database design and SQL skills, including advanced scripting, query optimisation, and performance tuning
- Solid working knowledge of GCP services (e.g. Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, IAM) and experience deploying and operating production workloads on GCP
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) and GCP-native DevOps tooling (Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, Cloud Monitoring)
- Comprehensive experience with CI/CD practices including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing pipelines
- Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tooling (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist) as a productivity tool within the engineering workflow
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail, ensuring high-quality deliverables and efficient resolution of complex technical challenges
