AI Engineer - Remote
Description
Take an ambiguous problem, define the solution, and ship it. Youʼll direct AI agents across planning, implementation, testing, and deployment—and remain accountable for the code and the result. Youʼll build and evolve the AI harness behind that work: the context, tools, execution environments, checks, and feedback loops that make agents reliable. This requires strong engineering judgment and the ability to get into the code when the work demands it.
Company Details

Requirements
2–4 years of software engineering experience, with ownership of systems running in production.
Hands-on agent experience: Youʼve built or substantially customized agent workflows and can explain their limits, failure modes, and how you measure quality.
Strong fundamentals: Youʼre comfortable with APIs, databases, system design, testing, and production debugging. You can judge the code an agent writes.
Independent judgment: You know what to delegate, where to intervene, and when to simplify.
Clear communication: You explain decisions, flag uncertainty early, and move work forward in a remote team.
Currently working at a product-based startup or scale-up
Responsibilities
Concept to production. Define scope and architecture, build the solution, deploy it, and iterate on real usage.
A fleet of agents. Decompose complex work, manage context and dependencies, coordinate parallel execution, and integrate the results.
The harness. Build tooling for execution, tool access, state, evaluation, observability, and failure recovery.
Code quality. Write and review code, challenge agent output, test assumptions, and resolve integration issues.
Production reliability. Debug failures and make deliberate tradeoffs across performance, cost, and delivery speed.
