AI Engineer

We are looking for an AI Software Engineer to build production-grade AI agents, workflows, and automation systems at Shuru.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship end-to-end AI/LLM workflows.
- Develop backend services using Python and FastAPI.
- Work with prompting, RAG, structured outputs, tool calling, and agent workflows.
- Build evals to measure accuracy and prevent regressions.
- Use AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or Codex.
- Own features from problem statement to production.
- Debug and improve AI systems using real-world data.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with Python and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents.
- Strong ownership and ability to work with ambiguous requirements.
- Experience building and shipping production-grade applications.
Good to Have
- OCR or document extraction experience.
- Experience with LLM evaluation and benchmarking.
- Exposure to enterprise workflows, ERP, finance, or automation.
- Open-source projects or independently built AI products.
