Purpose:
Turn ambiguous customer problems into production AI capability, fast, as the technical half of the Value FDE and AI-FDE pair.
Responsibilities
- Ship a working capability against the live backlog in the first week where feasible, then iterate.
- Own the build end to end: model real data and process, design agentic workflows, integrate, evaluate, release.
- Build close to the people who operate the process; no requirements hand-off.
- Meet the Minimum Viable Autonomy bar (evaluation, observability, escalation, controls) before production.
- Reuse and compose existing AIP and agent capabilities; feed proven patterns to the catalogue and R&D.
- Leave the customer able to run, monitor and adjust what has been built.
- Partners one-to-one with the Value FDE. BVDE and PDE are separate roles. Bengaluru engineers back 25 of the 80 pods.
How Success is judged:
- Time to first working capability and time to production value.
- Quality, safety, observability and reliability; customer adoption and independence.
- Reuse harvested from field work; strength of the pair partnership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering; Python, Java, C++ or TypeScript; APIs and cloud.
- Hands-on LLM or agentic workflows in production (retrieval, evaluation, tool use).
- Engineer-diplomat with customer judgement; willing to travel to client sites.
- Insurance systems: policy administration, claims, billing; or our platforms.
- Data engineering, MLOps or security in regulated industries
