AI Forward Deployed Engineer
Summary
An AI Forward Deployed Engineer who partners with business teams to find operational bottlenecks and ships practical AI tools for them — building and maintaining production RAG pipelines, chat interfaces, workflow automations, and internal agents with Python and tools like n8n, Make, and Zapier — while training non-technical users and tracking impact.
You will identify operational bottlenecks with business counterparts and build practical AI tools to address them. You will gather requirements, secure data access, build and maintain production RAG pipelines, conversational interfaces, workflow automations, and internal agents. You will also train non-technical users, define success metrics, track results, and communicate the impact of your work.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business counterparts to identify and scope operational bottlenecks
- Gather requirements, secure data access, and build trust with supported teams
- Build and ship tools using n8n, Make, Zapier, Lovable, or custom Python
- Build and maintain production AI systems, including RAG pipelines, conversational interfaces, workflow automation, and internal agents
- Run workshops and training sessions for non-technical teams
- Define metrics, track results, and communicate operational impact
Requirements
- Portfolio of shipped projects, tools, demos, or other work samples
- Experience using and coordinating multiple LLM coding agents
- Knowledge of frontier-model capabilities and model selection by task complexity
- Experience with production AI practices including evaluations, error handling, and observability
- Process documentation skills, including SOPs and checklists
- Ability to communicate technical work in business terms
- 5+ years of experience shipping tools used by others
