AI Fullstack Engineer
Summary
Senior full-stack engineer in Movate's Netsec Center of Excellence in Bengaluru, building platforms and tooling that assess and secure network deployments (Palo Alto NGFW, Prisma Access, SD-WAN). Works AI-first with Claude Code coding agents, plus TypeScript/Python, GitLab CI, and Google Cloud/GKE.
Job Summary
The Netsec Center of Excellence, part of Technical Services, builds the platforms and tooling our engineers use to deliver for customers assessing deployments, prescribing improvements, and delivering security outcomes across NGFW, Prisma Access, SD-WAN, and related products. We are looking for senior full-stack engineers who build and ship with AI coding agents as their primary way of working: designing the system, directing agents through it, reviewing what they produce, and owning the result in production. In this role, you will set the bar for how the team engineers with AI, not just meet it.
Your Impact
- Own production features end to end across the API, data layer, front end, and infrastructure of Technical Services platforms and tooling that support customer delivery
- Lead technical design for significant features: model the domain, set the boundaries and contracts, and drive the work from design through production
- Use Claude Code and other coding agents as a daily engineering tool planning, implementation, test generation, and refactoring while staying accountable for every line that merges
- Author and maintain advanced agent workflows and reusable agent skills that make the whole team faster, not just yourself
- Run agent-assisted code review as part of the merge path, review other engineers' work, and know when an agent's confident answer is wrong
- Build and harden GitLab CI pipelines: quality gates, coverage enforcement, supply-chain controls and automated deployment to Google Cloud
- Take features to production on GKE, including observability, rollout and incident follow-through
- Test platform and tooling changes against live Palo Alto Networks products and lab environments — validating behavior against real NGFW,
- Prisma Access and SD-WAN deployments before it reaches the engineers who rely on it
- Mentor engineers on agent-driven development practices and set the engineering standards the team builds to
- Contribute to wider Technical Services automation as priorities shift
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of professional software development experience, preferred, with a track record of shipping full-stack software to production on real-world projects
- Experience leading technical design and delivery of production systems, including owning outcomes after launch
- Hands-on experience building LLM-backed features and tool-use agents — designing the tools, wiring the agent loop, and evaluating the results
- Has followed generative AI closely since it broke into the mainstream in 2022, and has put each wave of models and coding agents into practice rather than watching from the sidelines
- Demonstrated proficiency with Claude Code or comparable AI coding agents, including multi-step workflows, custom skills or tooling, and agent-driven code review
- Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python; experience with the Bun runtime strongly preferred
- Production experience on Google Cloud — GKE, Cloud SQL, IAM and related services
- Experience designing and operating GitLab CI pipelines
- Intermediate network and security engineering knowledge — not your primary skill, but enough to stand up and test against firewalls, SASE and SD-WAN, and to understand the routing, policy and threat-prevention behavior our tooling assesses
- Command of structured programming and software design first principles: separation of concerns, clear interfaces, testability, and knowing what not to build
- A track record of owning quality when an agent wrote the first draft — tests, review, and production verification rather than trusting a green build
- Clear written communication; comfortable working asynchronously across time zones
Nice to have
- Experience with Hono, Zod, Drizzle, React or Vite
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks products such as PAN-OS, Panorama, Prisma Access, or Strata Cloud Manager, or a network security certification such as PCNSE
- Experience building evaluation harnesses for LLM output quality
