Description

As a AI Governance Analyst, you'll support the delivery of our AI governance framework through structured analysis, documentation, reporting, and operational support. You'll help maintain governance records and registers, contribute to risk assessments and approval processes, and assist with the monitoring of controls that support responsible AI practices across Australian Retirement Trust.

You'll work alongside AI Governance Specialists and collaborate with stakeholders across Data, Technology, Risk, and business teams to support governance activities, assurance reviews, and reporting for senior decision makers. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your expertise in one of the most exciting and rapidly evolving areas of technology and governance.

This role is a permanent opportunity and is based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.

Responsibilities
Day to day, you'll:

  • Support the execution of AI governance processes, controls, and activities aligned to ART's AI governance framework.
  • Assist in preparing, maintaining, and tracking AI risk assessments, reviews, approvals, and governance artefacts.
  • Maintain accurate records, registers, documentation, and reporting relating to AI governance activities.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret information to support governance reporting, metrics, and insights.
  • Prepare summaries, presentations, and materials for governance forums and decision-making activities.
  • Support issue tracking, action management, and remediation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Data, Technology, and business teams to support governance outcomes.
  • Contribute to third-party and vendor AI assessment activities.
  • Assist with internal and external assurance, audit, and review activities relating to AI governance.

Qualifications
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them.
It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

  • You have experience in AI governance, data governance, risk management, technology governance, or a related discipline.
  • Your understanding of AI systems, analytics, or automated decision-making enables you to operate confidently in a governance environment.
  • You'll have experience applying governance controls, risk assessments, or compliance activities in project delivery or operational settings.
  • You're able to interpret governance, risk, regulatory, or ethical requirements and apply them pragmatically.
  • You possess strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams.
  • Your tertiary qualifications are in data, technology, law, risk, ethics, or a related field.
  • You'll bring experience working within a regulated industry such as financial services, superannuation, or banking.
  • You're familiar with responsible AI principles, emerging AI regulations, standards, or frameworks.
  • You have exposure to assurance, audit, control testing, or technology risk activities.
