AI LEAD & DATA SOLUTIONS ENGINEER
Summary
Hands-on lead role owning data integration and AI transformation at Trident BMC in Gdańsk: connecting SAGE ERP, databases and APIs into a company-wide data model, building ETL/ELT pipelines, and developing AI/LLM tools (agents, RAG) for forecasting and decision support across finance, logistics, engineering and projects.
BUILD THE DATA & AI ENGINE OF AN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
Trident BMC is looking for a hands-on, business-minded AI & Data professional to take ownership of our data integration and AI transformation.
We have business data across Finance, Purchasing, Logistics, Engineering, Recruitment and Project Operations, primarily within our SAGE ERP environment.
Our goal is to connect these data sources, build a common company-wide data model and develop AI-powered tools that help management understand the business, forecast demand, optimise resources and support growth.
This is a hands-on Lead role. We are looking for a builder with business vision — not simply an advisor.
- Analyse business processes and identify opportunities where data, automation and AI can create measurable value
- Integrate SAGE, databases, APIs and internal business systems
- Design and implement a connected company-wide data environment
- Build reliable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes and analytical solutions
- Develop practical AI tools, assistants and agents using company data
- Build predictive and decision-support solutions for projects, costs, recruitment, purchasing, logistics and resource planning
- Turn business problems into prototypes and production-ready tools
- Work directly with management and business teams, taking solutions from idea → data → AI tool → business adoption
- Coordinate internal and external technical resources when required
- 3–5+ years in data engineering, BI, AI, digital transformation, automation or enterprise systems
- Strong knowledge of data modelling, SQL and relational databases
- Experience with ERP integration, APIs, ETL/ELT and business systems
- Experience building or implementing AI/LLM-based business applications
- Understanding of AI agents, RAG and workflow automation
- SAGE experience is highly valuable, but not mandatory
- Strong business-process, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently and taking end-to-end ownership
- Very good English and fluent/native Polish
Experience in marine, offshore, shipbuilding, engineering, energy or other project-based industries is an advantage.
