JOB SUMMARY
The IT AI & Analytics Manager - Finance identifies, develops, prioritizes, and executes AI initiatives across Finance functions to create measurable business value. This role partners directly with Finance leadership and functional stakeholders to understand opportunities, define requirements, maintain a finance AI roadmap, and deliver practical solutions such as AI agents, AI chatbots, financial reporting tools, automation, predictive analytics, and decision-support capabilities. The position combines finance domain expertise, analytical problem solving, technical curiosity, and strong communication skills to translate business needs into scalable AI-enabled solutions that improve month-end close, financial reporting, planning, forecasting, variance analysis, productivity, governance, and decision making.
RESPONSIBILITIES / SKILLS
Partners with Finance leaders and functional stakeholders to identify, evaluate, prioritize, and execute AI opportunities that align to functional goals and measurable business outcomes. Please note – this is a business facing role.
Develops, maintains, and manages the functional AI roadmap, including opportunity intake, prioritization criteria, delivery milestones, value assumptions, dependencies, and execution status.
Designs, prototypes, tests, and deploys AI-enabled solutions such as AI agents, AI chatbots, financial reporting tools, variance analysis capabilities, automation workflows, Power BI reporting, and decision-support solutions.
Translates business problems into clear technical requirements by gathering stakeholder input, documenting use cases, defining success criteria, and clarifying expected business value.
Uses SQL and related data tools to access, transform, validate, and prepare functional data needed for AI analytics, reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis solutions.
Builds and enhances AI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and other analytics outputs that help business partners monitor performance and take action.
Collaborates with IT, data engineering, business optimization, security, governance, and functional stakeholders to ensure AI solutions are scalable, supportable, secure, controlled, and aligned to enterprise standards.
Manages intake, qualification, prioritization, and execution tracking of AI opportunities within the assigned business function.
Communicates project status, risks, requirements, demos, adoption expectations, controls considerations, and business impact clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership when needed.
Tracks adoption, usage, outcomes, and value realization for delivered AI solutions and recommends enhancements to improve business impact over time.
Creates documentation, training materials, quick reference guides, and support materials to help users understand and adopt AI-enabled tools and processes.
Works both independently and as part of cross-functional teams to move AI initiatives from idea generation through execution while balancing multiple priorities.
Continuously learns new AI tools, financial analysis methods, reporting practices, analytics capabilities, and development practices; tests emerging technologies and recommends practical applications for Finance.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Finance Expertise - ability to understand month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, P&L concepts, balance sheet concepts, cash flow, working capital, and financial controls.
Problem Solving and Decision Making - under general guidance, ability to break down ambiguous Finance problems and make effective decisions by evaluating business priorities, technical feasibility, stakeholder needs, controls considerations, and expected value.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, information systems, data analytics, business analytics, business, or related discipline is required.
Experience supporting finance, accounting, FP&A, financial reporting, controllership, shared services, treasury, internal controls, or related financial functions.
Strong understanding of month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, P&L reporting, balance sheet concepts, cash flow, and/or financial controls.
Experience performing financial analysis, reporting improvement, automation, digital transformation, AI, analytics, or business process improvement.
Familiarity with SQL and the ability to write, troubleshoot, or learn queries used for reporting, analytics, data validation, and data preparation.
Familiarity with CCH Tagetik is a plus.
Familiarity with AI reports, dashboards, data models, measures, or related business intelligence concepts.
Familiarity with AI agents, AI chatbots, generative AI tools, predictive analytics, prompt engineering, automation, or financial analytics concepts preferred; willingness to learn is essential.
Experience with Snowflake, Python, semantic models, APIs, workflow automation, financial systems, or software development concepts preferred.
Ability to partner directly with Finance stakeholders, gather requirements, clarify needs, and convert business problems into practical technical solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure.
CPA, CMA, MBA, or related Finance, Accounting, or Analytics credentials preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel (post-COVID) up to 10%. It is anticipated this position will travel 0-10%
