AI/ML Engineer [CCP for ICT Professionals (Data and AI)]

About the role
We are seeking a motivated AI/ML Engineer to joinour growing AI and software development team. Working closely with our CTO andsenior engineers, the AI/ML Engineer will design, develop, deploy and maintainmachine learning models, LLM-based and agentic-AI systems, and AI-poweredbusiness applications that drive our digital transformation.

Therole uses Claude Code and modern AI-assisted development workflows to build andoperationalise AI/ML solutions across client projects, internal systems andcloud infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for an individualconverting into applied AI/ML engineering, with structured on-the-job trainingand mentorship.

KeyResponsibilities

• Gather and scope business requirements to define AI/ML solutionscope for TMS and courseware automation initiatives.

• Deploy and manage AI/ML models on cloud infrastructure to enhancethe performance, scalability and security of solutions.

• Develop and apply algorithms and computational methods that enablemodels to learn, adapt and make predictions from data.

• Build and deploy computer vision and image analytics models tosupport automated content and document processing.

• Manage version control and change tracking of AI/ML codebases andmodel artefacts to ensure reproducibility and integrity.

• Design data structures and database models to support training,storage and retrieval of AI/ML datasets.

• Build and maintain data pipelines to collect, transform andintegrate data for AI/ML model development.

• Implement data handling guidelines and compliance controls acrossthe AI/ML data lifecycle.

• Develop data strategy and supporting architectures to maximise thevalue of data assets for AI/ML initiatives.

• Install, monitor and troubleshoot databases supporting AI/MLworkloads and model deployment.

• Monitor and evaluate emerging AI/ML technologies to identifyopportunities for enhancing solutions.

• Build reasoning components that combine learner data, coursemetadata and business rules to recommend training pathways and automatecourse/content decisions for the academy.

• Develop pattern recognition models to analyse data and surfacehidden patterns for problem solving.

• Plan, monitor and control AI/ML project delivery and resourceutilisation to achieve project objectives.

• Embed security principles into AI/ML solution design to mitigaterisks and protect data.

• Develop adaptive recommendation and optimisation models that learnfrom user feedback over time to personalise course and content suggestions forlearners.

• Engage and align stakeholders to ensure AI/ML initiatives meetorganisational requirements and objectives.

• Develop integration roadmaps to embed AI/ML components seamlesslyinto existing ICT systems.

• Develop test strategies and procedures to verify AI/ML models meetdesign specifications and performance targets.

• Build text analytics and NLP solutions to extract themes, patternsand trends from text data.

TechnicalSkills & Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering,Data Science or a related field.

• Foundation in Python and machine learning concepts, includingsupervised and unsupervised learning and model evaluation.

• Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering and AI integration.

• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern webtechnologies.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, hosting, DevOps or MLOps concepts.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with awillingness to learn new technologies quickly.
