AI/ML Researcher - Hybrid
Summary
Research and develop AI/ML prototypes using Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and large language models for client projects in a hybrid role.
Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year
Requirements:- PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science or a closely related discipline
- Strong software development experience using Python
- Hands-on experience with Machine Learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Experience working with Large Language Models, Knowledge Graphs, Graph Machine Learning or Natural Language Processing
- Experience developing AI prototypes, proof-of-concept solutions or research projects
- Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Docker and modern AI frameworks including LangChain, LangGraph or similar
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience producing technical reports or research documentation
- Publications, open-source contributions or recognised research within AI/ML would be highly advantageous but not essential
- Must be eligible for Security Clearance and able to satisfy UK security vetting requirements

- Work on cutting-edge research across Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, Knowledge Graphs, Agentic AI and Graph Machine Learning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, academic partners and industry experts to develop innovative AI capabilities
- Create proof-of-concept solutions and contribute to research with real-world impact
- Work on AI research and innovation projects supporting Defence and National Security programmes
