Summary
First engineering hire who will learn the existing codebase and build/extend backend infrastructure for scaling a crypto trading product (Hyperliquid builder codes, Privy wallet execution, trading execution, Twitter data engine). Mostly Python on AWS with Pulumi/Terraform IaC and Postgres.
You will be the first hire for our company after a departure from the former Backend Developer. You will need to learn, and understand the repobase and continue coding to build and improve infrastucture for further scaling of features. You will spend a decent amount of time in the beginning working on, and learning the cryptocurrency infrastructure side of things (builder codes with hyperliquid privy wallet execution, trading execution, and our twitter data engine.)

- Deep AWS experience: IAM, Secrets Manager, RDS, ECS/Fargate, KMS, VPC
- Infrastructure as code: Pulumi preferred, Terraform acceptable
- Python: the entire infra codebase and the signal pipeline are Python
- Postgres: schema design, migrations, backup and restore in production
- Auth and secrets hygiene: OAuth/JWT, key rotation, webhook verification
- A track record of testing infrastructure changes like application code
