AI-Native Tech Lead
Bali Love is a full-stack wedding operations platform — not just a website. It manages bookings, vendor coordination, invoicing, and payments for high-value events across Bali.. The founder is currently the most effective developer on the team. That's the problem.
We have a defined engineering process and a team that uses Claude Code agent sessions day-to-day. What we're missing is a technical leader who can own delivery, enforce the process, and make sure the founder doesn't have to step in every time something breaks.
The setup
You'd be leading a team of four: one tech lead and three developers. The stack is a Next.js / React Native full-stack application with a Postgres database, integrated with Xero for accounting and Clerk for auth. The team already works with Claude Code — AI-augmented development is how we build.
The engineering process exists on paper. The gap is execution and accountability.
What we expect
In your first days, you'll do a quick audit of the codebase and current processes — what's working, what isn't, and what you'd fix first. After that:
Own delivery: every ticket has a lead, every PR gets reviewed, nothing stalls
Fix deployment reliability — there's a known fragility we need resolved and documented
Set clear SLAs for code review and QA handoffs
Manage the team day-to-day: unblock, hold accountable, develop
Work in Claude Code alongside the team — you'll be expected to run agent sessions and review their output
What success looks like
The founder doesn't need to get involved when something breaks,deployments are predictable, the team handles incidents on their own, and nothing is sitting in the pipeline without an owner.
What we're looking for
5+ years of engineering, with real lead experience — you've owned delivery, not just code
You've enforced process in a team that wasn't following one
AI-native: Claude Code or equivalent agent-based tools are part of your daily workflow
Strong written communication — you document decisions and don't rely on chat as a source of truth
Based in Bali — in-person presence with the team is part of the role
