About the RoleYou will shape how an agentic AI platform is deployed and adapted for a European cloud and enterprise environment in a global automotive R&D organization. The platform is shared across international engineering teams, and your focus will be to make sure it runs securely, compliantly, and reliably in the EU while staying aligned with a broader platform roadmap. You will work at the intersection of AI platform engineering, cloud architecture, enterprise integration, and cross-border collaboration. This is an excellent opportunity if you want real influence over reference architecture, platform patterns, and how AI services are adopted at scale.
Job Description- You will own the EU reference architecture for the agent runtime, model gateway, connector and tooling framework, and SDK layer.
- You will adapt shared platform components for EU deployment and compliance needs.
- You will define and maintain Architecture Decision Records where EU requirements differ from the shared platform direction.
- You will represent EU needs in joint architecture reviews, with focus on compatibility, roadmap alignment, and breaking changes.
- You will deploy and operate platform services in approved EU cloud environments together with Cloud/DevOps and IT teams.
- You will drive the technical side of operating-level agreements, including provisioning, IAM, networking, and incident escalation.
- You will ensure alignment with EU requirements around data residency, retention, and cross-border data transfer.
- You will integrate platform services with enterprise systems such as identity providers, internal APIs, and document or data platforms.
- You will define secure connector patterns for big data and knowledge services, including vector search, enterprise search, and knowledge graph capabilities.
- You will support application teams with reusable patterns, SDKs, architecture reviews, and hands-on guidance on platform integration.
- 5+ years in software, cloud, or platform architecture.
- 2+ years hands-on experience with LLM/agent platforms, RAG, or production AI services.
- Strong Python and/or TypeScript skills.
- Solid API and distributed systems design experience.
- Cloud-native engineering experience: Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC, observability.
- Working knowledge of IAM, networking, secrets management, secure API design.
- Practical understanding of LLM/agent concepts: inference, tool calling, embeddings/vector search, evaluation, guardrails.
- You are comfortable working as a technical bridge across distributed, cross-cultural engineering teams.
- Experience with GDPR-aware architecture and EU data-residency requirements.
- Familiarity with EU AI Act implications, including risk classification, logging, and audit.
- Experience from automotive, mobility, or manufacturing enterprises.
- Familiarity with LangChain/LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Terraform, ArgoCD, OpenTelemetry, or equivalent tools.
