Requirements:- Experience developing MCP servers and AI agent tooling
- Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, RAG, and prompt engineering
- Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft Graph API
- Knowledge of hybrid semantic and vector search
- Experience with enterprise API development and document processing
- Experience with Azure Functions and/or Container Apps
- Knowledge of Entra ID and OAuth/OIDC
- Experience with CI/CD, testing, and production support
- Software engineering experience, ideally with Python and/or C#/.NET
- Desirable: experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Purview, enterprise knowledge management, legal/eDiscovery solutions, or regulated or public-sector environments
- Develop MCP servers that expose SharePoint and Azure AI Search capabilities to AI agents
- Build SharePoint and Microsoft Graph ingestion pipelines for documents, emails, and attachments
- Design and implement RAG and agentic AI workflows using Azure OpenAI
- Deliver hybrid search solutions combining semantic and vector retrieval
- Implement secure, permission-aware access controls using Entra ID and OAuth
- Produce production-ready solutions, including testing, CI/CD, logging, and documentation

We are recruiting on behalf of one of our local clients for a Senior AI / SharePoint Engineer to lead the development of an enterprise AI evidence discovery platform using SharePoint, Azure AI services, and Model Context Protocol (MCP). The platform will support search and retrieval across documents, emails, contracts, and risk artefacts. This is a remote, three-month contract paying £480 per day inside IR35.
