About the Role

The AI Product Manager owns the end-to-end delivery of YBR's AI platforms. This is a hands-on product manager, technology evangelist, tester, trainer, and operator role. Focusing on the continuous delivery of product enhancements and facilitating future product development with Internal staff and the Broker network.

Reporting to the Chief Digital & Marketing Officer, the AI Product Manager works closely with YBR IT and Senior Architect, through to business owners of AI platform IP, broker representatives and development resources (including offshore contractors) to turn ambiguity into meaning production-ready software and features. The role suits someone who enjoys engaging with various levels of the business, makes value driven decisions, works through the fine detail from concept to operation and is credible with both engineers and non-technical broker stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who is energetic, inquisitive, and genuinely interested in the rapid change and opportunities technology and AI unlocks in disrupting traditional software models and business practices. You likely have your own AI subscription and have experimented and implemented AI solutions in professional or personal capacity. Obsessed with efficiency and automation, and has the vision and foresight to understand how digital transformation can strongly enable business productivity and value

Key Responsibilities

• Own the AI product roadmap and delivery plan. Run the product lifecycle, sequence milestones around dependencies and understand the strategic and critical path.

• Manage controlled broker pilot programs, own adoption and feature enhancements

• Maintain prioritised backlog with clear testable acceptance criteria.

• Protect the quality and operation of AI platforms, ensuring the continue to stay current with emerging technology trends and tops benchmarks against competitors

• Manages systems operations, triaging bug fixes, prioritisation, and customer engagement

• Partner with YBR IT, business owners and broker representatives, translating between technical and non-technical requirements

• Provide accurate and relevant status reporting and forecasting

Skills & Experience

• Proactive and organised, ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and deliverables in a methodical and consistent way

• Decisive builder-operator who owns ambiguity and documents decisions to drive outcomes

• Strong communicator, able to translate between engineers and non-technical broker stakeholders

• Strong documentation skills (decision records, solution design, acceptance criteria)

• Project and program management experience. Familiar with AGILE methodologies, SCRUM, Kanban. JIRA experience highly desirable

• Strong knowledge of AI landscape, finger on the pulse of emerging AI technologies. Experience with AI LLM technologies, AI agents, RAG, CAG. Claude, Claude Code, and Claude Design highly desirable

• Experience with building and delivering AI based products and serviceBroad experience with managing and delivering SaaS and other technology products and services, from design through to delivery and operations.

• Secure product design principles for confidentiality, Integrity, and availability of critical systems and data

• Knowledge and awareness cloud computing, integration with 3rd party systems and services

• Experience in mortgage broking, lending, or financial services highly desirable

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, IT or related field
