AI Product Owner

About the role
Aeven is currently adopting AI through a controlled platform and clear priorities. In this role you will join the AI Centre of Excellence and make it run as an operating system. You will own the CoE’s portfolio, planning, communication, and adoption. You will turn strategy into an ordered backlog, keep stakeholders aligned, and grow responsible usage of company AI platforms (gateway, chat, approved tools).
Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain the CoE product and initiative backlog with outcomes and acceptance criteria.
- Plan and sequence work across discovery, delivery, and hardening (identity, security, hosting, assurance).
- Lead stakeholder communication on status, decisions, risks, and clear distinctions between what is ready and what is experimental.
- Run demand intake
- Drive adoption and enablement through communities, training, roadshows, feedback loops
- Own day-to-day seat and license hygiene for CoE-governed tools (waiting lists, reclaim rules, allocation narrative) in partnership with the Head of AI and Digital Workplace where relevant.
- Stand up and coach a network of divisional AI ambassadors (spokes, not CoE headcount).
- Define lightweight success measures: adoption, reliability signals, cost visibility
- Represent the CoE to leadership.
- Prepare materials for PI planning and the AI Board as needed.
Requirements:
You focus on measurable adoption and clarity, not ticket volume or slide count. You use modern AI tools yourself and can critique quality and risk from first-hand use.
Must-Have experience:
- 5+ years of product ownership, product management, or equivalent experience in digital, platform, or change programs.
- Strong backlog hygiene, prioritization, and roadmap storytelling.
- Stakeholder management across engineering, security, and business teams.
- Excellent written and verbal English with clear, no-hype communication.
- AI product literacy: GenAI vs. classical ML, Prompting vs. RAG, Latency vs. quality, Automation vs. risk
- Evidence of adoption or enablement work where success depended on real usage.
- Comfortable in regulated or multi-stakeholder enterprise environments.
Good-to-Have experience:
- Internal platform or developer portal product experience.
- SAFe / PI planning familiarity.
- FinOps awareness for AI spend.
- Experience running communities of practice or ambassador programs.
