AI Project Manager -DSA

vConstruct, an international engineering and construction services firm, seeks an experienced AI Project Manager to drive AI initiatives in collaboration with AI Engineering teams, domain experts, academic institutions, and research organizations. The role requires a combination of technical understanding, project management expertise, and stakeholder collaboration to translate business challenges into well-defined AI initiatives and drive them toward measurable outcomes.

About the Role

We are looking for an AI Project Manager who can bridge business challenges, AI technologies, and project execution to deliver practical and impactful solutions. The ideal candidate should have a broad understanding of Machine Learning, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Computer Vision, Data Analytics, and emerging AI technologies. They should be comfortable participating in technical discussions, understanding solution approaches, defining project scope, and collaborating with technical experts to identify feasible solutions. You will work closely with AI Engineering teams, domain experts, universities, and research institutions to manage initiatives from problem discovery and feasibility assessment through proof of concept and implementation.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage AI initiatives from problem identification and scope definition through feasibility assessment, PoC, pilot, and implementation.
• Collaborate with domain experts and business stakeholders to understand challenges, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable AI project scopes.
• Engage in technical discussions with AI engineers and architects to understand solution approaches, evaluate feasibility, identify dependencies, and facilitate technical decisions.
• Coordinate collaborative AI projects with universities and research institutions, aligning objectives, deliverables, responsibilities, and expected outcomes.
• Define and track project plans, milestones, timelines, resources, risks, and success criteria across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Facilitate alignment between domain requirements, AI Engineering capabilities, and research outcomes to guide initiatives toward practical solutions.
• Track research progress, technical deliverables, PoC outcomes, and readiness for further implementation.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, dependencies, and outcomes effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Establish structured processes for project documentation, execution tracking, and stakeholder coordination.

What We're Looking For

• 8 to 10 years of experience in technical project management, software delivery, data analytics, AI/ML, or related technology initiatives.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional technical projects involving multiple stakeholders and teams.
• Strong conceptual understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, Computer Vision, and Predictive Analytics.
• Ability to understand AI solution architectures, data requirements, integration dependencies, technical feasibility, and implementation challenges.
• Experience translating business problems into structured requirements, project scopes, and measurable deliverables.
• Ability to participate meaningfully in technical discussions, understand trade-offs, and facilitate solution-oriented decisions.
• Experience coordinating technical projects with academic institutions, research teams, or multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, project planning, risk management, and delivery governance.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing AI/ML, Generative AI, Data Science, or intelligent automation projects.
• Familiarity with LLM applications, RAG, AI agents, APIs, cloud platforms, data pipelines, and MLOps concepts.
• Experience managing AI research collaborations, proof-of-concept development, or technology evaluation initiatives.
• Understanding of AI model evaluation, scalability, deployment considerations, and performance metrics.
• Exposure to construction, engineering, or other operationally complex industries.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Project management certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or Scrum would be an advantage.
