AI Researcher (Data Science & LLMs)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Analyse structured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support research and business decisions.

· Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA), statistical testing, and model validation to ensure data quality and reliable outcomes.

· Develop and apply predictive and mathematical models, including regression, classification, and time series forecasting.

· Design, build, and evaluate AI agents using LLM-based frameworks to automate research workflows and interact with databases, data pipelines, and predictive models.

· Assess AI agent performance across task completion, reasoning quality, tool usage accuracy, and reliability.

· Develop clean, well-documented Python code for data processing, feature engineering, machine learning, and visualisation.

· Query, transform, and manage structured data using SQL and data science tools such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and data visualisation libraries.

· Contribute to shared codebases, version control practices, reproducible data pipelines, and experiment tracking frameworks.

· Collaborate with researchers and stakeholders to deliver projects, communicate technical findings, and present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline.

· Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant internships, research projects, competitions, or open-source contributions are advantageous.

· Strong Python programming skills with experience in data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, SciPy, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.

· Hands-on experience in data preparation, feature engineering, outlier detection, missing data handling, and model development.

· Solid foundation in statistics, machine learning, linear algebra, calculus, optimisation, and predictive modelling techniques.

· Knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, generative AI, and LLM-based applications or agent frameworks.

· Experience working with SQL, relational databases, and structured datasets.

· Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
