AI Software Developer Intern

About the Role

Paul Hype Page & Co. is seeking an AI & Technology Consultant Intern to work on real-world technology projects involving AI-powered applications, software development and business automation.

We adopt an AI-first approach to development, using AI tools extensively for coding, research, debugging and problem-solving. We place strong emphasis on logical thinking, prompt engineering and the ability to turn ideas into functional solutions.

You will work closely with management and the team to develop and improve digital platforms, including our Tantoo applications. While understanding business operations is important, the primary focus of this role is applying AI and technology to solve practical problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test and improve web applications and digital platforms using AI-assisted development tools.

• Apply effective prompt engineering to generate, refine and troubleshoot code.

• Analyse complex problems and develop practical solutions using AI and technology.

• Review, test and validate AI-generated code to ensure functionality, accuracy and reliability.

• Build AI-powered features, automated workflows and system integrations.

• Work with APIs, databases and modern web development frameworks.

• Understand business requirements and translate them into functional technical solutions.

• Research and experiment with emerging AI technologies, tools and development methods.

• Take ownership of assigned projects, troubleshoot issues and continuously improve existing solutions.

• Support other ad-hoc tasks, assignments and projects as directed by management.

About You

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.

• Strong analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Good prompt engineering skills and the ability to use AI tools effectively.

• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or similar AI-assisted development platforms.

• Basic understanding of programming concepts, web applications, APIs and databases.

• Ability to understand, evaluate and troubleshoot AI-generated code.

• Prior knowledge of business operations, company incorporation, corporate services or related business processes is not required. On-the-job training will be provided.

• Resourceful, adaptable and comfortable experimenting with unfamiliar technologies.

• Independent, proactive and capable of finding solutions with minimal supervision.

• Strong willingness to learn and continuously improve.

• Able to work on-site in Singapore.
