Rohde & Schwarz is hiring an AI Solution Architect in Dresden to design end-to-end architectures for enterprise AI systems — spanning MLOps, data platforms, model serving, and cloud/on-prem/edge infrastructure — while setting technical standards, embedding security and compliance, and mentoring engineering teams. Introduction
You design the architecture that tomorrow's AI systems will run on safely and at scale.
Tasks
- You define end-to-end architectures for AI systems as well as integration patterns and target architectures that meet functional and non-functional requirements such as scalability, security, observability, and maintainability.
- You specify platform and infrastructure requirements for model development, serving, data management, and lifecycle management, including MLOps, data platforms, feature stores, and model registries.
- You drive technical standards, API and contract definitions, as well as best practices for integrating AI components into enterprise systems.
- You evaluate and select technologies for model runtimes, orchestration, storage, and infrastructure, and develop migration and compatibility strategies.
- You ensure that compliance, security, and data governance requirements are firmly embedded in solution designs.
- You lead architecture reviews, advise engineering teams, and mentor them to ensure consistent implementation of standards.

Qualifications
- You have several years of practical experience in designing and implementing complex software or AI solutions in enterprise environments, including proven architectural responsibility.
- You have practical experience with cloud platforms, container orchestration, CI/CD/GitOps, as well as best practices in observability and security.
- You have a solid understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle, MLOps patterns, data platforms, and model serving architectures across cloud, on-premise, and edge environments.
- You can translate business requirements into technical designs, evaluate trade-offs, and create meaningful architecture artifacts such as diagrams, API specifications, and decision documentation.
- You excel in stakeholder management, have strong communication skills, and demonstrate team spirit, a solution-oriented approach, analytical thinking, willingness to learn, and confident presentation skills.
- Very good German and very good English skills, both written and spoken, round off your profile.
