Senior AI Solutions Architect (Microsoft Enterprise AI) - Contract
We are currently looking for someone to deliver enterprise AI solutions for a large B2B organisation. The end customer is building a next-generation AI assistant that combines enterprise knowledge with structured business data to provide accurate, source-backed responses for commercial teams.
They are seeking an experienced AI Solutions Architect to lead the technical architecture and delivery of this platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and technical delivery of an enterprise AI assistant from concept through production.
- Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using the Microsoft AI ecosystem.
- Develop secure enterprise authentication and authorization using Microsoft Entra ID.
- Build production-ready retrieval pipelines leveraging Azure AI Search and Azure OpenAI.
- Design AI agent workflows using Microsoft Copilot Studio or equivalent enterprise agent frameworks.
- Establish evaluation frameworks to monitor retrieval quality, accuracy and hallucination rates.
- Work closely with AI Engineers, Data Engineers and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Guide engineering standards, technical decisions and production deployments.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise AI applications into production.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Search and Azure OpenAI.
- Experience implementing Microsoft Entra ID, including On-Behalf-Of (OBO) authentication.
- Strong understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector search and enterprise document retrieval.
- Excellent Python development skills with experience building production APIs.
- Experience working with Azure cloud services, CI/CD and containerised deployments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and technical leadership capabilities.
