AI Solutions Engineer

Salary: £80,000 - 105,000 per year

• Proven experience building and deploying AI or machine learning solutions in production environments.
• Strong experience with the Microsoft AI ecosystem, including Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry and Azure DevOps.
• Software development experience, ideally using Python.
• Knowledge of JavaScript or other development languages is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of large language models (LLMs), natural language processing (NLP), machine learning fundamentals and prompt engineering.
• Experience designing prompts, grounding strategies and knowledge integrations.
• Experience working with agentic AI and integrating AI capabilities into business processes and enterprise systems.
• Experience evaluating and integrating third-party AI platforms and tools.
• Good understanding of AI security, data privacy, governance, access controls and audit requirements.
• Knowledge of GDPR, the EU AI Act and related compliance considerations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and solution delivery capabilities.

• Design, build, deploy and support AI-powered solutions that improve business processes, knowledge management and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify high-value use cases and integrate AI into existing workflows and systems.
• Develop and maintain AI applications, agents and automations using Microsoft AI technologies.
• Design prompts, grounding strategies and knowledge integrations to deliver reliable AI outputs.
• Build reusable AI components and contribute to development standards and best practices.
• Evaluate third-party AI tools and platforms, build proofs of concept and support build-versus-buy decisions.
• Ensure solutions are secure, explainable, auditable and compliant with relevant regulatory requirements.
• Support user adoption, testing, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
