Role Overview:

Rhino Squad matches entrepreneurs and business leaders with virtual assistants. We are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to build AI automations for our team and to be the person our VAs go to when an automation is beyond what they can build on their own. Most of the work today is in Claude Code.

You will work directly with our VAs. When a VA gets stuck on advanced automation, they bring it to you. You help them solve it, show them how it works, and turn repeat questions into training for the rest of the team.

Client Requirements:

• Must have experience training or supporting non-technical users

• Must be a problem solver who enjoys figuring things out on their own

• Must be comfortable learning new AI tools quickly as they come out

• Must be able to share examples of automations or tools they've built

Responsibilities/Tasks:

Must-Have Experience (Responsibilities You Must Be Proficient In):

These are the tasks the VA needs to handle independently and confidently from day one:

AI Automation & Claude Code:

• Build AI solutions and automations using Claude Code

• Build automations with error handling, logs, permissions, and data privacy in mind

• Fix and update existing automations when they break or need changes

• Document each automation so the team knows how it works

Integrations:

• Build integrations between the team's tools

• Connect tools using APIs and webhooks

AI Support & Team Training:

• Support the team with AI tools and questions

• Train the team on AI tools and new automations

• Create simple how-to guides or video walkthroughs for the team

Nice-to-Have Experience (Responsibilities You Can Learn Over Time):

These tasks are valuable but can be trained on the job:

• Build internal tools for the team

• Troubleshoot AI workflows

• Test new AI platforms and recommend whether the team should use them
