AIOps Product Owner
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Product Leadership & Vision
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle (strategy, development, deployment, and optimization), serving as the central champion and subject matter expert.
- Translate complex observability data into business value, ensuring full-stack visibility from underlying infrastructure up to critical business process KPIs.
- Define, monitor, and audit product-related standards and KPIs (including performance, reliability, security, and capacity) in close partnership with Evolution, Governance, and Platform teams.
Automation & Operational Excellence
- Drive the "Self-Healing" roadmap by identifying, championing, and implementing automation initiatives that proactively eliminate manual operations, reduce MTTR (Mean Time to Resolution), and prevent business disruptions.
- Champion continuous improvement of AIOps and observability toolset to maximize platform performance and enterprise-wide adoption.
- Keep ahead of the curve by evaluating emerging industry trends, AI/ML advancements in operations, and next-generation observability capabilities to continually evolve the product roadmap.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Vendor Management
- Collaborate across business units to ensure selected technologies are successfully adopted, fit-for-purpose, and actively drive efficiency and value for Mars.
- Manage and hold key technology vendors accountable, rigorously evaluating their operational deliverables and partnering with them to drive continuous technical innovation.
- Enable and support downstream teams, providing clear technical guidance, documentation, and enablement to Enterprise Intelligence Center operations, internal customers, and strategic partners.
Context and Scope
The Product Owner’s primary goal is to maximize the value delivered by the product to the customers and stakeholders. This involves understanding the needs and desires of the Enterprise Intelligence Center customers and stakeholders, defining the product’s features and requirements, and prioritizing the work of the product team.
The goals of the Product Owner include:
- Deliver the committed features and user stories within the planned release cycles.
- Achieve a release cadence of every two weeks, ensuring timely delivery of product increments.
- Establish effective communication channels and collaboration practices between product teams, ensuring alignment and shared understanding.
- Assist with regular cross-team sync meetings to address dependencies, resolve conflicts, and promote knowledge sharing.
- Review of responsible products in an effort reduce recurring reported incidents.
- Support and take part in retrospectives to identify areas of improvement in product ownership practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements or experiments to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain alignment with the overall product roadmap and strategic objectives set by the organization.
- Work to ensure the program backlog items directly contribute to the strategic goals defined in the product roadmap.
- Supporting the FinOps process, ensuring effective use of the AIOps platform.
- As Squad Lead, validating new requests and coordinating the delivery through our partners.
