Job Summary
Responsible for leading complex ACMV service operations, diagnosing critical system faults, providing technical solutions, and supporting business growth through engineering excellence. The role requires independent decision-making, technical leadership, and preparation of analytical service reports for management.
Responsibilities
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex ACMV, VRV/VRF, AHU, FCU, and chiller system failures.
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for commercial and industrial ACMV systems.
- Diagnose refrigeration, electrical, control, and mechanical faults independently using technical drawings and diagnostic tools.
- Develop technical recommendations to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and maintenance strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, failure analysis, and maintenance performance reports for management review.
- Coordinate with project engineers, suppliers, and clients to resolve critical technical issues.
- Conduct commissioning, testing, and performance verification of ACMV systems.
- Review service data and recommend predictive maintenance strategies based on equipment performance trends.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior service technicians.
- Support business development by identifying upgrade opportunities, retrofit solutions, and long-term maintenance contracts.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), BCA, and manufacturer standards.
- Participate in emergency breakdown support and critical site response when required.
Preferred Competencies & Qualifications
- Minimum 6–8 years of commercial ACMV/chiller servicing experience.
- Strong knowledge of VRV/VRF, AHU, FCU, chilled water systems, pumps, cooling towers, and BMS.
- Experience with Daikin, Trane, Carrier, York, Mitsubishi Electric, or equivalent systems.
- Ability to independently diagnose complex electrical, refrigeration, and control faults.
- Experience preparing technical reports and maintenance analysis for management.
- Knowledge of PLC, VSD, BMS, and control systems is an advantage.
- Experience in hospitals, data centres, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical facilities is preferred.
- Class 3 Driving Licence is an advantage.
