Incumbent will trace signal flow through the system while troubleshooting malfunctions of units with dedicated computers that store operating parameters and initiate adjustments. Knowledge of the characteristic voltage, current, and signal input and output of a wide variety of microprocessors, and integrated and discrete solid-state circuits. This knowledge allows incumbent to recognize indications of improper operation and differentiate them from temporary anomalies introduced by the testing itself.
