Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Air Freight Operations Coordinator to manage export shipments activities while ensuring seamless coordination with international networks, airlines, customers, and relevant authorities. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality service, meeting customer requirements, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and company standards.
Job Scope
Coordinate and communicate with overseas agents, network partners, airlines, authorities, and customers regarding export shipments.
Execute end-to-end air export operations, ensuring timely and accurate shipment processing.
Manage co-loading business activities, including rate quotations and coordination with carriers.
Process space bookings with airlines and obtain spot rates when required.
Receive and process shipment nominations and customer bookings, providing accurate flight details and shipment updates.
Arrange cargo collection and transportation with appointed transport providers.
Create and manage export files and shipment execution within CargoWise One (CW1).
Prepare and issue pre-alerts upon shipment execution.
Process invoicing and coordinate closely with the GSS team on billing-related matters.
Monitor and update operational KPIs and system records accurately.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, operational procedures, health and safety standards, and company policies.
Requirements
Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience in air freight export operations, freight forwarding, or logistics industry preferred.
Working knowledge of CargoWise One (CW1) or similar freight management systems is an advantage.
Good understanding of airline booking processes, export documentation, and freight forwarding operations.
Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders across different countries.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Customer-focused with the ability to manage priorities and meet operational deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Committed to maintaining compliance, operational excellence, and health & safety standards.
