AIR TERMINAL SHIFT MANAGER

The primary purpose of this position is: To provide a shift manager/duty officer for any of the three shifts encompassing all air terminal operations, to provide 24/7 coverage. Represents the Commander and Operations Officer to ensure mission accomplishment with regard to the movement of cargo and passengers within the Defense Transportation System. Serves as an Air Terminal Shift Manager, responsible for managing and directing operational activities of military and civilian personnel who perform aircraft dispatch, load planning, and ramp controller duties pertinent to air terminal internal control and mission support of originating, transiting, and terminating aircraft. Represents the Commander and Operations Officer by personally resolving the difficult problems encountered during mission execution. Identifies and coordinates air terminal operational requirements with internal and external support agencies. Performs support duties and functions.
