AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade. Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.

The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as the Senior Air Reserve Technician (ART) officer with overall supervision and management of either an Aircraft Generation Squadron (AGS), a Maintenance Squadron (MS), a Rescue Squadron (RQS), a Flying Squadron (FS), or a Logistics Support Squadron (LSS) and, as such, has final accountability for all phases of squadron administrative activities. The organizational location of this position is: in an AGS, MXS, RSQ, FS or LSS at an Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) unit. DUTY#1: Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the squadron. Critical -Manages assigned logistics resources and ensures production to meet operational requirements and technical standards. DUTY #2: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Critical -Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors. Advises staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of higher-level management or headquarters. DUTY #3:Represents organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Critical Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external customers. DUTY #4: Meets with key customers and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolves significant problems that arise. Ensures subordinate units provide customer guidance and training.
