AIRCRAFT MECHANIC

The primary purpose of this position is to install, adjust, align, troubleshoot, and perform final functional and operational tests on a variety of major aircraft systems, their assembles, and components such as airframe, landing gear, power plant, gear boxes, pumps, and hydraulic, pressurization, utility, fuel, oil, pneumatic, and flight control systems.

- Performs troubleshooting on a variety of major aircraft systems, their assemblies, and components. - Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles major aircraft systems, their assemblies, and components. Completes major overhaul to routine maintenance and servicing of aircraft. Installs, aligns, and functionally and operationally tests the various major and minor mechanical and pneumatic systems on the aircraft during overhaul or modification. - Accomplishes operational and maintenance record keeping, both manual and automated, associated with aircraft maintenance and repair. - Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area. Uses and assures proper fit of required safety equipment and clothing. -
