AIRCRAFT MECHANIC LEADER

The primary purpose of this position is to to lead three or more workers to accomplish trades and/or labor work on a substantially full time and continuing basis. Leader is responsible to both perform the work assigned by a supervisor and ensures that subordinates completed assigned work consistent with trades and labor standards.

1. Leads a team of trades and/or labor workers. 2. Performs non-supervisory training and/or labor work that is usually at the same kind and level as members of the work crew led. 3. Performs troubleshooting on a variety of major aircraft systems, their assemblies, and components. 4. Accomplishes operational and maintenance record keeping, both manual and automated, associated with aircraft maintenance and repair.
