Aircraft Technical Systems Engineer (Avionics/Electrical)
Summary
Systems engineer within Qatar Airways' Amiri Flight responsible for safety, reliability and cost analyses of aircraft electrical and avionics systems. Day to day they review service bulletins and airworthiness requirements, update ETOPS/CMP documentation, recommend retrofits, and provide troubleshooting and AOG technical support.
About the Role
As System Engineer you are responsible for the safety, reliability and cost analyses of the aircraft types, electrical systems and avionics under your responsibility as well as propose technical solutions to ensure an optimum availability and high reliability of Amiri Flight aircraft. You are committed to act with overall accuracy and have a technical background of aircraft technology. Support the continuous airworthiness by recommending implementation of Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Requirements from the technical point of view and provide engineering support to the other areas together with the Technical Support Engineer by:
1. Finding, evaluating and initiating products improvements.
2. Reliability monitoring.
3. Deferred defect review and prioritisation.
4. ETOPS manual revisions and CMP compliance updates.
5. Technical publication reviews and recommendations (AAR, SB, SL, etc.).
6. Retrofit program recommendations.
7. Solving technical problems and liaising with Amiri Flight layovers.
8. Trouble shooting and AOG technical support.
9. Effecting special projects.
