JOB SUMMARY
The Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Technician III is a senior-level aircraft maintenance professional responsible for leading complex maintenance activities, major repairs, troubleshooting efforts, and return-to-service operations. This position serves as a technical subject matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship to technicians while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, approved technical data, and Company quality and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead complex aircraft maintenance, repair, modification, and return-to-service activities.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and fault isolation of aircraft systems and components.
- Oversee heavy maintenance checks, and aircraft modification projects.
- Interpret and apply maintenance manuals, engineering authorizations, repair specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Review maintenance records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Production, customers, and regulatory representatives.
- Use technical specifications; AMMs, RSMs, CMMs, REOs
- Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to technicians across multiple skill levels.
- Support audits, regulatory inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with workflow coordination, production planning, and shift operations.
- Maintain compliance with Company policies, FAA regulations, OSHA requirements, and quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
